36O in the World

BELIZE
36O is the sole supporter of Belizean Christian Efforts, a children’s home for girls in Flowers Bank, Belize.  The home is managed by Nelson and Darnella Tyler, a couple sent out from 36O in 2008.  Each child is surrounded by 8 personal supporters.  On the 20-acre property, there are currently 7 fish ponds that hold over 25,000 tilapia.  These fish are then sold on the market with the goal of self-sustainability by 2012.

CZECH REPUBLIC
Rob and Audrey Chestnut are being sent from 36O in April of this year to live in Czech Republic.  Rob already spent 3 years in Czech primarily working in English camps with young students.  Their primary role will be to organize over 20 camps each year.  The camps occur throughout the country.  The focus of the work is building relationships with the students and introducing them to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

ETHIOPIA
In collaboration with e3partners (
www.e3partners.org), 36O sent a team to Gondar, Ethiopia to bring 500 wheelchairs and 1,200 pair of eyeglasses.  Doug Bender, from e3, will be moving to Ethiopia to live in the villages of the people to accomplish the monumental task of translating the Scriptures into the local language.

BEAUTIFUL FEET
Based out of 36O, Beautiful Feet is a global effort to deliver shoes around the world.  The dangers of not having shoes are often unknown to many.  For example, Mossy Foot disease causes great suffering to one million people in Ethiopia - a debilitating infliction that can be prevented by simply wearing shoes.  Beautiful Feet partners with Cobian Sandals to bring thousands of shoes to those in need.  36O is currently working on a project that is shipping 3,000 pair of sandals to Nicaragua.

REAL-EYEZ
Another effort based out of 36O, eyeglasses and sunglasses are sent around the world.  Reading is impossible for those who suffer from far-sightedness.  As an example, Real-Eyez provided much needed eyeglasses to educators in Ethiopia.  Many people in the world work outside for long hours and as a result, damage to eyes occurs without the use of sunglasses.  This damage often leads to blindness - a tragedy that can simply be prevented by providing sunglasses.
